Why is xVital better than conventional fertilizers?
With virtually no salt, xVital is the superior fertilizer choice. Conventional nitrogen fertilizers—such as ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate and calcium nitrate—possess high salt contents and can make the medium acidic. Additionally, residual salt levels in hydroponic nutrient solutions or soil can reduce germination; prevent absorption of adequate water by seeds, plants, and tree roots; and weaken growth, even killing the vegetation.
xVital can also be used as a pH downer, helping you adjust the pH of your solution to maximize plants’ uptake of essential nutrient ions.
Is xVital safe for the environment?
Yes. xVital is engineered to complement your current plant care regimen without the harmful side effects of salts and alkalinity. With xVital, there is absolutely no runoff, and this is due to two factors.
Nitrate fertilizers are mobile in the soil, so they can move around more easily, finding their way to plants’ roots. Other nitrate fertilizers, however, are not easily absorbed by plants due to their salt content, as high salt contents can induce osmotic stress, making it difficult for cells to absorb water. This is why nitrates are often a cause of runoff pollution; because they move freely, they can be swept into water resources more easily. Because xVital lacks salts, plants have an easier time absorbing it. Thus, it does not remain in the soil and is not carried by rainwater to nearby streams and rivers.
In addition to this, with xVital, you can adjust the amount of nitrogen you add to the soil. So you never add too much!
Are there chemicals in xVital?
xVital contains absolutely no chemicals. xVirity’s patented plasma technology uses an electromagnetic field instead of chemicals. Thus, unlike conventional fertilizers, xVital is not bound or attached to salt, which means a better harvest—and a better environment.

How much fertilizer do I need?
Add one (1) part xVital to fifteen (15) parts water to make the xVital fertilizing solution. Are xVirity products certified as organic?
xVital is a natural nitrate fertilizer, but is not certified organic due to USDA labeling regulations. Since we use ionization, USDA does not classify us as organic.
How does xVital improve hydroponic farming?

What is xVital’s shelf life?
With the cap on, xVital’s shelf life is six to eight months. The product should be stored in a cool, dry place, tightly closed in the original container.
How does xVital improve pH levels?
pH is a major factor in plants’ uptake of essential nutrient ions. Used as a pH downer, xVital can help you adjust the pH of your solution to the optimal range.
It’s important to note that focusing solely on pH control can actually be detrimental to plant growth. Adding too much of a pH downer often results in the disruption of nutrient balance and, consequently, damages the system.
How can I use xVital for pH control without dilution?
An alternative to dilution is to use a pH upper in combination with xVital. We recommend using potassium carbonate, often referred to as potash. As a polyprotic base, potassium carbonate is efficient in raising pH while also delivering potassium, an essential nutrient, to the system. Its high solubility reduces the risk of both clogging in hydroponic systems and salt deposits in soil. Like xVital, potassium carbonate can be derived from natural sources at a low cost.
